Site Analysis

  1. I think the Brooklyn Bridge Park is very important to this site. There needs to be information and analysis that includes the park. It is sculpted and there are many amenities within the park. The amount of visitors to the park and the connections to other neighborhoods and the water taxi are also missing. Look at the Brooklyn Bridge website for great information.

  2. This is in consideration to the circulation? Or is it on a whole we should have studied more of the park?

  3. Trung,

As a former city planner in Milwaukee and urban planner this is some really great site analysis to someone who does not know this area of the city. Will you be using the same materials in your project to blend your building into the city fabric or go in a opposite direction? What are your ideas about connecting both buildings to the park directly adjacent? Because this is an artist area, will you be putting public spaces like a diner, gallery, meeting space or coffee shop to welcome neighbors to interact with students? What did the sun analysis teach you about how to shape the building? I am looking forward to some site design and building massing sooner rather than later. Best, Jonathan
